Vacation Fits That Pop

The lockdown caused by COVID-19 had people cooped up in their homes, with not much to do- except of course planning their next vacation! According to Forbes, travel bookings are increasing as more people become fully vaccinated and hope to travel for the first time since the pandemic began. Not only are people thinking about traveling, they are making it happen. There are significantly more people flying than there were in 2020. The daily TSA checkpoint travel numbers are above 1 million daily screenings on most travel days since February 11, 2021.
Whether you are staying booked and busy during this pandemic, or finally planning your first getaway after almost two years, one of the most enjoyable steps in planning a vacation is finding comfortable, versatile and of course, sexy outfits to wear. Keep reading for tips on how to effectively pack for your next trip.
According to one of our favorite bloggers Jamie Tucker, one of the best things about vacation outfits is that they look and feel effortless. Having some basic pieces that can be mixed and matched makes a last minute weekend getaway simple. For longer trips, having plenty of easy basics to mix and match also streamlines the packing process and minimizes the stress that can come along with packing for lengthy travel.

Let’s start with the airport fit. It is super important to dress comfortably for your flight. Although a lot of women like to wear heels in the airport to kick off their trip on the best foot possible, I would highly recommend sneakers or flats that you can easily remove at the TSA checkpoint. This will come in handy in case you are running late and need to pick up the pace! As for the rest of your fit, I always go with pants with a flexible material such as sweats or leggings, a cute, versatile top and some minimal accessories such as a bracelet or earrings. Be sure to pack a hoodie or jacket on top for when the plane gets chilly!
Once you touch down at your location, dresses will be your best friend. Dresses are essential pieces to have when traveling. Packing a variety of dresses, including solid colors (especially black) patterns, mini, midi and maxi lengths, and an assortment of materials and textures for every occasion. We love a cotton fabric with 5% spandex for some stretch to showcase your curves. I would recommend you pack a few casual, flowy, bright dresses for your daytime excursions. A perfect example would be our Valencia Swing Dress. As for evening attire, you may want some longer length, elegant pieces that pair well with some strappy heels or a fitted, backless piece like our She’s a Flirt dress.
